Father God I have learned how not to treat the sinner because of how people treated me. I have learned how not to treat the backslider, because of how Christians treated me oh Hallelujah yes Lord when my time comes don't allow me to treat them the way I was treated, I won't Lord. Hallelujah, yes yes Love is the greatest of these all, love is the greatest. yes yes yes.

James 5:20

James 5:20 talks about saving a soul from death by correcting the person. The Bible says that we should correct, rebuke, and be bold to those who are sinning. This means that if you see a brother/sister in the Lord in sin, then it is your responsibility to correct him/her. ----Lisa Maki

Paul teaches in

Paul teaches in Gal.5:14-15 that the purpose of rebuking is not to BITE and DEVOUR another, as a small dog yaps and snaps at people. Rather, even in our rebuking of others, we are to EDIFY and ENCOURAGE one another. ----Lisa Maki

You have to

You have to be CAUTIOUS of the MINDSET that God has called you to a MINISTRY OF REBUKING OTHERS. These are people who give themselves to fault-finding. I Timothy 5:1

We are warned in I Timothy 5:1 to rebuke not an Elder or a Pastor, but rather we are to entreat them as we would our father and we are to deal with the faults of younger men as brothers. Older women are to be treated as mothers and younger women as sisters. In other words, deal with them tenderly and kindly. ---Lisa Maki
